CHOREOGRAPHY
Guru Rohini Bhate, the doyenne of Kathak dance was one artiste whose creativity had found new vistas for expression on the modern stage, and she had consistently used the auditorium stage for full scale Kathak ballets for a number of years.
Guru Rohini ji’s work in this specialised field of creative expression in kathak, however, deserves close study for it is replete with compositions that have expanded the scope of her art form. From the diversity of subjects to their innovative execution, each of her projects bears the hallmark of true genius.
This ballet is a sequence of expressions regarding perception of the principle of Time. Time is the all-pervading distant observer of all creation and Time quite simply is!
This is a poem by Rishi Vamdeo Gautam in praise of the Goddess of dawn. Accompanied by her sisters in a seven horse chariot, she travels the world gently waking up all living creatures.

This elaboration of Bhavani Shankar Mishra’s poem throws light upon suppressed status of women of India, symbolised as puppets. A puppet tries to cut off all the threads of the norms of the society, and tries to take a leap for freedom.
As a twist to the original poem by Bhavani Shankar Mishra, this elaboration states that truth, beauty and concern can win over insensitivity, frustration and pessimism.
Kajri

Agni
Agni gives warmth and light. Agni gives form to the formless and gives us the sense of vision. Agni roars, Agni frightens, Agni soothes.
Vaayu
Vaayu fills breath into our existence. It gives the sense of touch and provides movement and momentum. Sages of yore have described Vaayu as riding on his resounding chariot roaring away into distant planes.
